The division of insulation materials of the IFA Industrielle Wiegetechnik GmbH offers customised solutions for the production processes of glass wool and rock wool.

The key aspects are:

• Reactors for the PF-resin/Urea reaction, including heating and cooling systems and accurate controll of the necessary reaction temperatures
• Metering and conveying of solids
• Systems for the production and metering of oil emulsions
• Fully automatic systems for silicone preparations
• Fully automatic gravimetric binder preparation systems with automatic metering of all necessary components and logging of consumption
• Storage vessel for the finished binder, as well as redundant conveying and filtering units

The monitoring and sensitive controlling of all process-relevant parameters, secure an economic application of the raw materials. 

The partially redundant execution of critical components guarantees a high availability system and contributes considerably to the working reliability of the entire production. 

Processing and circulation of the wash water
Planning, design, construction, assembly and start-up of: 

Systems for collecting and cleaning washing water from the production process. Multi-level filtering and cleaning of the water using: 

• Buffer tanks and sludge tanks with agitators
• Shaker screens, vibrating screens
• Drum filters, paper filters, belt filters
• Hydrocyclones
• Centrifuges, decanter

This gradation of the cleaning stages guarantees that the industrial water exactly fulfills the cleanliness requirements expected.

Storage and administration of raw materials
Planning, design, construction, assembly and start-up of:

• Liquid-truck-and-trailer unloading stations
• Tank farms for raw materials such as phenol formaldehyde resins, lignin,

The process data are collected and clearly presented in a central display. From here the service personnel has an overview of the entire operation and can intervene fast and directly.
